CREB® Orientation Programs
After completing the Real Estate Associates Program (REAP), the next step is to become a member of CREB® in order to gain access to the MLS® System. The CREB® Orientation Program is an 18-hour mandatory program needed to gain membership. Please note that Orientation is only mandatory for CREB® membership and not for licensing with RECA.

Real Estate Associates Program (REAP)
The Real Estate Associates Program (REAP) is developed and administered by the Alberta Real Estate Association (AREA) on behalf of the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA). Completion of the program and associated examinations is one of the requirements to obtain a real estate associate licence from the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA).

Real Estate Brokers Program
Any real estate industry member applying to the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA) for a broker, broker licence must have documented two (2) years of licensed experience as a real estate associate within the five (5) years preceding the application for the licence. Unlicensed Real Estate Assistant Course
In this two (2) day course, participants will learn about their role and the tasks they can perform as unlicensed assistants, information about the Real Estate Act, CREB® Bylaws and Rules & Regulations, how to complete various administrative tasks such as building measurements, listing contracts, purchase contracts, and other additional forms, and the tools and services provided by the Board, including MLS®, CREN® Advertising.
