CREB® Orientation

After completing the Real Estate Associates Program (REAP), the next step is to become a member of CREB® in order to gain access to the MLS® System. The CREB® Orientation Course is an 18-hour mandatory program needed to gain membership. Please note that Orientation is only mandatory for CREB® membership and not for licensing with RECA.

REAP students can register for the CREB® Orientation Course while completing the program, but commencement date of Orientation must occur after the date of the final required REAP exam.

Candidates must obtain sponsorship from a CREB® member brokerage firm in order to enroll in the Orientation Course. Sponsorship forms are available through sponsor brokers or from the CREB® Education Department. Candidates must provide a sponsorship form signed by a broker, and a payment of the non-refundable deposit of $210.00 to register in person, or by fax/email to CREB®. The deposit will be applied against the membership entrance fees. Please note that American Express cards are not accepted at CREB®. Incomplete sponsorship forms or forms without payment will not be processed.

A 70% passing mark and 100% attendance is required in order to complete the CREB® Orientation. Once candidates have completed Orientation and also licensed with RECA, candidates can apply for membership by visiting CREB® in person to complete a Membership Application and paying the balance of fees. Access to the MLS® system will be available within approximately three (3) hours of joining membership.
