Become an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®) - The Best in Buyer Representation! March 29 & 30, 2012(9:00am - 5:00pm) Cost $273.00 including GST The cornerstone of buyer representation education, this comprehensive course is the roadmap for understanding and accommodating buyers interests and needs. Upon completing the two-day course and successfully passing the exam, you will have achieved ABR® candidate status, a three-year period during which you must fulfill the educational and experiential requirements to become an ABR® Designee. Course enrollment includes a free, one-year membership with REBAC. This is a program by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council (REBAC) of the National Association of REALTORS®, presented in partnership with the Alberta Real Estate Association (AREA). Topics Include: • Evolution of Buyer Representation • Agency Relationships • Office Policy, Standard or Care & Risk Managment • Agency Conflicts • Agency Disclosure • Services Provided • Conflicts of Interest • Changing an Agency Role • Portecting the Broker • Building a Buyer Representation Business • The Purchase Contract • Negotiating CREB® is also offering the following ABR® elective courses: • Green Real Estate Professional • Effective Negotiating for Real Estate Professionals • Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®) Course • ABR® Course Career Path Designation Requirements (3): 1) Successful completion of the ABR® Designation Course, including an 80% passing grade on the exam. 2) Successful completion of one elective, including a passing grade on the exam, within three years of completing the ABR® Designation Course. For a current list of all elective courses, click here. 3) Submitted documentation verifying five completed transactions in which the ABR® candidate acted as buyer's representative. Any transactions closed prior to taking the ABR® Designation Course or closed within three years after completing the course are eligible for credit.
