Want to know if a career in Real Estate is for you? This course is available for those interested in a career in real estate. You will obtain valuable information helping you to make an informed decision on whether or not to become a real estate associate. The Introduction to a Career in Real Estate course is Phase-1 of the Real Estate Associates Program (REAP). Attending this course is one of the pre-requisites for moving on to Phase-2 of REAP. Click here for full details. The Introduction to a Career in Real Estate is divided into two parts. First part consists of reading the first 38 pages. Topics include the role the real estate industry plays in the economy, the breadth of the industry and its various sectors, occupations within real estate, and industry organizations. Textbooks maybe picked up 5 days before class start date. Second part of the course addresses what it is like to work as a real estate associate. Information will include personal considerations, financial facts, and the day-to-day responsibilities of working in the industry. The structure of licensing, agency relationships, and skills required will also be covered.
