2021 Legacy Grant Recipient
CREB® REALTOR® Community Foundation awarded $300,000 in grant funding to support HomeSpace Society with its conversion of downtown office tower Sierra Place into affordable housing units.
At completion, the $28.5-million project will feature 82 one-, two- and three-bedroom affordable housing units across six floors, with occupancy scheduled for summer 2022. The wide-ranging benefits associated with affordable housing is one reason why the Legacy Grant, which is designed to create new housing and shelter options in the local community, is the foundation’s signature funding stream.

Other grant recipients
For over 30 years, our members have invested in Calgary and area communities.
Prior to having our new granting structure in place that supports housing and shelter related initiatives, we contributed to many organizations in our community. Much of that work was done through our former giving program, Investing in HOPE.
