In July, the city comes alive. From the world-famous Calgary Stampede to major cultural festivals throughout the month, there won’t be a dull day in your calendar!  

June sales in Calgary improved over May, reaching 2,197 units. Despite the monthly gains, sales were nearly four per cent lower than last year and just below the long-term average for June, largely due to pullbacks in apartment-style units. While sales are down across most price ranges so far this year, there have been gains in both the highest price ranges and the most affordable ranges across most property types.

REALTORS^® showed their commitment to community on June 9 as volunteers gathered at FearIsNotLove to help complete the organization's new Outdoor Oasis.

With more than 40 kilometres of missing sidewalks, Calgary has historically been known as a car city, but changing demographics have demonstrated a shift in preferences.

In line with seasonal trends, inventory has risen from the start of the year, reaching 6,752 units in May. While these levels are consistent with last May, they remain 11 per cent higher than longer-term trends for the month, thanks to higher supply levels of apartment and row-style homes. Meanwhile, inventory levels for detached homes are down three per cent compared with both last year and long-term trends.

There was no shortage of generosity at this year’s REALTORS Care^® Day at the Calgary Dream Centre. On May 12, 66 CREB^® members volunteered their time at the Dream Centre, with many other members contributing donations in the days and weeks leading up to the event.
