Calgary's Inner City is comprised of 73 communities, covering everywhere from Albert Park to Winston Heights. These communities combine to make the Inner City a unique area with a variety of activities, restaurants and attractions and many are within walking distance.

There is a home for everyone in Calgary's Inner City from single family, condominium, apartment homes and more. It is a location where people from young professionals, families and retirees reside.

A pair of Calgary newlyweds became the 250th family to move into a home thanks to Attainable Homes Calgary Corporation (AHCC). Jun Sung Kim and his wife Julia moved into a two-bedroom apartment at Skyview Ranch in the city's northeast.

The two had been looking for a home months before their wedding. Jun said he was devastated by the cost of housing in Calgary and felt renting was the couple's only option before turning to AHCC.

Mayor Naheed Nenshi announced Calgary's population increased 2.62 per cent between April 2012 and April 2013 with the release of the City's Civic Census July 25.

Calgary's population is now at 1,149,552, an increase of 29,327 residents, a similar level of growth seen at the same time last year.

The East village just announced the revitalization of the Simmons Building to include retailers Phil and Sebastian Coffee Roasters, Sidewalk Citizen Bakery, CHARCUT by chefs Connie DeSousa and John Jackson.

As a part of the East Village, CMLC (Calgary Municipal Land Corporation) has included the previously mentioned retailers to compliment the over $1.1 billion of planned investment to the neighbourhood.

Nestled along Calgary's Crowchild Trail, the established communities of Brentwood and Dalhousie offer quiet family living a stones throw from the downtown core.

"It's a quieter community, the location's nice, it's not too far out of downtown and its not tucked away in the suburbs," said Adrian Murphy who called Brentwood home for four years. "There's good transit routes, good restaurants, you've got the McMahon stadium there which is nice ... there's lots of recreational things to do down there."
