As a 136-acre community park with mesmerizing views, your family can make the most of the trails. ou can also visit the Cochrane Historical Museum, where you’ll discover the history of Canada’s West through the eyes of settlers, ranchers, farmers, service and supply businesses and educators.

Okotoks

Situated just south of Calgary, Okotoks is a quick drive and a popular destination to slow down and relax. These are some places you can visit:

  • D’Arcy Ranch Golf Club: This pristine 18-hole public links-style golf course has a balanced design that harmonizes the tree-lined ravine, slopes and natural water reservoirs. After following your round or hitting the driving range, you can enjoy lunch, dinner or a beverage at Jerry’s, the in-house restaurant located on the upper level of the clubhouse. The restaurant has vaulted ceilings, a full-service bar, and a spacious patio which offers panoramic views of the course with a backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.

  • Okotoks Art Gallery: For those rainy summer days, make sure you stop at the OAG. Located in a historic 1929 Canadian Pacific Railway Station in the heart of downtown, the gallery includes two spaces for creative and dynamic exhibitions in addition to a gift shop that features local and Canadian artisan wares. The gallery also serves as the Visitor Information Centre for Okotoks, in case you have questions or are looking for recommendations.
