Keeping Busy During an Open House

When selling your home, REALTORS® will sometimes hold an open house. Open houses are a way to market and expose the property for you, the seller. While an open house is taking place at your property there are more than enough Calgary and area activities to keep you busy while away for the two to three hours an open house lasts. Here's CREB® Real Estate News' top five.

Got to a movieEspecially during rainy days, there's no better way to be entertained and kill some time than to spend a couple hours in a warm theatre with a big bucket of popcorn and a cold drink. Calgary has plenty of theatres to choose from in all corners of the city including Scotiabank Theatre at Chinook Mall, Cineplex Odeon at Crowfoot Crossing and Cineplex Odeon at Eau Claire Market. Art house film fans can partake in The Plaza and The Globe.

take a walk in the parkCalgary has more than 7,800 hectares of parkland for residents and visitors to enjoy. More Inner City park locations include Confederation Park, Inglewood Bird Sanctuary, Shaw Millennium Park and Riley Park. While more suburban parks include Nose Hill Park, Fish Creek Park and Ralph Klein Park.

Head north and check out the Torrington Gopher Museum, head east and spend the day at the Wyndham Carseland Provincial Park, or head south and spend the day touring High River and its murals.
