SPONSORED: High-quality design and finishes in the heart of the inner-city
"Tela" is Italian for "fabric," and that word provided the inspiration for the tela condominium development in the heart of Calgary's trendy Mission neighbourhood."A tela condo offers a canvas for your life. It gives you a gateway to really paint the lifestyle you want, and you don't get more lifestyle than Mission," said Andreya Bidulka, tela's REALTOR® representative.
The condo development is just steps away from the many restaurants and stores lining Fourth Street S.W. The neighbourhood of Mission, with its picturesque river pathways, provides the perfect excuse to get out for a jog or leisurely amble. Not only can a person walk downtown to work, there is also easy access to Macleod Trail, the year-round happenings on the Calgary Stampede grounds and the Repsol Sport Centre.
"Mission really is this vibrant, urban village," said Bidulka. "It has history, but it's still very trendy, very new."
While residents first started occupying tela condos in November of 2017, Bidulka says there are still a variety of options available in the 51-unit, pet-friendly development, including two-bedroom, one-bedroom and one-bedroom-plus-den floorplans.
Ranging in size from 580 to more than 1000 square feet, units are priced between $300,000 and $525,000. Monthly condominium fees range from $300.00 to $400.00 and include everything but electricity. (Bidulka says the builder is also offering extra incentives right now to would-be buyers.)
While south-facing properties are traditionally most popular, Bidulka says tela buyers are drawn to the north side, because of the development's fabulous downtown views. "The windows are incredible," she adds, mentioning, in particular, the "massive" skylights and high ceilings of fourth-floor units.
"The finishings are such high quality," said Bidulka, listing features such as quartz countertops, wide-plank laminate flooring, full-tile backsplashes and under-vanity, motion-activated lighting in the bathrooms. All units come with high-end, stainless-steel kitchen appliances and full-size, stackable washers and dryers.
"There is no wasted space in these units," said Bidulka, referencing space savers such as radiant in-floor heating throughout and stylish sliding barn doors in some units. "The builders have really considered all the day-to-day conveniences you take for granted and don't actually think about until you live there."
And lest would-be residents worry about where to park in this inner-city hotspot, Bidulka says tela also has two levels of heated, underground parking, with additional stalls for visitors.
"When I look at the floorplans, the finishings and the location, this building is really hard to beat," she said. "There are a lot of condos out there, but not a lot of condos like this."
