In July, the city comes alive. From the world-famous Calgary Stampede to major cultural festivals throughout the month, there won’t be a dull day in your calendar!

Calgary Stampede 2026 
July 3-12 | Stampede Park 
Do we need to say more? The Greatest Outdoor Show on earth brings everything from iconic rodeo competitions and exciting midway rides to unique dishes, mesmerizing western art and Indigenous cultural experiences. 

MexiFest 
July 3-5 | Eau Claire Plaza
Grab your amigos at this celebration of Mexican culture! With delicious Mexican food, entertaining wrestling matches and an artisan market – the whole family will enjoy this festival. 

Calgary Métis Fest
July 4 | The Confluence Historic Site and Parkland
Experience the rich heritage, long-standing traditions and the strong spirit of Métis Culture at the Calgary Métis Fest.

Calgary Folk Music Festival
July 23-26 | Prince’s Island Park 
Immerse yourself in fine tunes from over 60 artists at the long-standing Calgary Folk Fest. Some of the artists performing this year include Of Monsters and Men, Thundercat, Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives and Corb Lund. 

Taste of Calgary 
July 30 to August 3 | Cowboys Park 
Experience the very best of Calgary’s global cuisines and drinks from a mix of unique restaurants and beverage companies at Taste of Calgary. Admission is free!

July 2 and 18 | McMahon Stadium 
Cheer on the Stampeders as they battle the Toronto Argonauts and Montreal Alouettes.

Calgary Surge Home Games 
July 9, 17, 19, 21, 24 and 31 | Scotiabank Saddledome & WinSport Event Centre
Watch the Calgary Surge take their shots at six home games this month. 

Cavalry Wild FC Home Games 
July 11, 17, 22 | McMahon Stadium
