WestCreek Developments hopes to continue run of success in Calgary area with two new communities

WestCreek Developments continues to make its mark on Calgary's suburban skyline with two new communities – Cornerbrook in the northeast and Wolf Willow in the southeast.

The company is also the developer behind the award-winning southeast community of Legacy.

WestCreek marketing manager Kalida Goldade says while Cornerbrook will have showhomes open this summer, it'll be another year before builders open their doors at Wolf Willow.

"Wolf Willow lines the Bow River from 194th Avenue to 210th Avenue S.E. with entry from the community of Chaparral," she said.
"Wolf Willow has been designed with a pedestrian environment and connectivity as the primary focus by linking residential areas to parks and natural areas, including Fish Creek and a dog park that south Calgary very much needs." - Kalida Goldade, WestCreek Developments marketing manager

Previously home to an asphalt plant and commercial gravel pit, the site has gone through a massive reclamation project. It has also been raised dramatically, due to its location on a flood plain. More than four million cubic metres of dirt have been hauled onto the site.

Wolf Willow will cover an estimated 500 acres and will have 3,500 homes. Move-up homes will be built by Jayman Built, Trico Homes and Morrison Homes. Starter homes will be available from Jayman, Morrison and Stepper Homes, and Trico and Stepper will offer townhomes as well.

Goldade says WestCreek is aiming to begin presales late this year, with 18 showhomes opening early in 2019 in three distinct parades.

"Wolf Willow has been designed with a pedestrian environment and connectivity as the primary focus by linking residential areas to parks and natural areas, including Fish Creek and a dog park that south Calgary very much needs," she said.

In the northeast, Cornerbrook will feature 800 detached and 200 multi-family units over its 140 acres located at the intersection of Country Hills Boulevard and Stoney Trail.

"There will be a large, central park taking up about 30 per cent of the community that will run through its centre, connecting to other parks in the area," said Goldade.

The Cornerbrook builder group is made up of WestCreek Homes and Stepper Homes for townhomes; Cardel Homes, Trico Homes and Stepper for starter product; and Trico and Cardel for move-up homes.

"Fourteen show homes will be opening this summer, and all of our builders have started pre-selling," said Goldade.
